Jolly Jolly

The first assignment for my creative coding class was to draw something in p5js. Over the years I’ve had the habit of drawing sketches on bar napkins, and I wanted to extend that into p5.

A lot of these sketches were faces with distressed or surreal features. I’ve been interested in turning each napkin into its own stand-alone site. The defining aesthetic would be minimalistic line drawings with a subtle application of color or interaction. I named this one “Jolly Jolly” because I thought it felt kind of British.

My initial p5 sketch can be seen as the first step in bringing this project into the digital realm. You can find the sketch on the p5 site here.
